PYL UN..INC. DCP THE GOLDEN REASON
David Carrier Porcheron is heavily influenced by surfing and the lush wildlife on the coast of Costa Rica. You want your board to remind you of your second passion every time you adjust it. The PYL UnInc redefines the concept of a mountain. This shape combines the benefits of greater edge grip with greater surface area thanks to a wider shape. We've fused hybrid versatility with the PYL's big mountain profile. The coreless tail will allow the tail to sink further without losing torsional rigidity. We've added a nostril chakra window to make this board your connection to your inner self. The Tapered UnderBite offers the directional ride and buoyancy of a tapered board without compromising edge grip or the ability to power out of turns, which plagues most tapered boards. MOUNT TYPE
CONTOUR - TAPERED UNDERBITE: Similar to "wings" or bumps on a surfboard, it works differently in the snow. Each side of the effective edge of the board is segmented into 3 distinct parts. Starting at the nose, the side cut has a radius of approximately 8 meters. In the area of the front attachment, the edge slopes inward by 2 mm, the side cut changes to approximately 7 meters and continues with that radius to the rear insert package. The edge is then sloped again by 2 mm and the side cut narrows to approximately 6 meters. "Traditional taper" boards take the full side cut and pull the tail inward, away from the arc of your turn; That's why they tend to slip in intense turns. The Tapered UnderBite corrects this by: 1) keeping the side cut parallel to the corresponding one on the other side of the board. 2) Increase the depth of the side cut as you move toward the tail, creating a corrective "hook" for the taper. The board blends into turns effortlessly, has the directional ride and float you'd expect from a tapered board, but holds its edge and rockets out of turns like no other.
CORE - POPLAR/PAULOWNIA WITH CHAKRA WINDOWS: Weightless core strikes a critical balance between lightness and strength . By using a lower density poplar species in areas that are not as structural and paulownia in areas that are, we can eliminate weight from our beloved 420 and now the 20/20. This helps the board not only float, but "feel" light.
BASE PROFILE: Camrock 1-4-1
BASE MATERIALS - TRUE SINTERED: Just as it says. Pellets or coarse powder are pressed into a solid. There are several suppliers for our entire industry and each has different codes for them, depending on color and transparency. These codes may make it seem like you are getting many different types and qualities of sintering, but they are all pretty much the same as far as you and I are concerned. True Sintered is harder and more expensive than extruded and can be faster for those who practice an aggressively fast driving style. But to do that, it needs to be waxed and prepared for local conditions.
