Description:

STANDARD UN..INC. DC A HIGHER STANDARD FOR EVERYONE.

The Standard Un..Inc. It's designed for Dustin Craven, who needed a little more support and precision than he got with the traditional standard. We created a Directional Volume Twin shape with a wide underfoot platform where you need it and now with Slamback inserts for those unexpected powder days. The MidBite contour offers the response and edge retention that will shatter your preconceptions about what a mid-wide board can do. Dustin worked with his childhood friend Michael Corner to bring you these different top layers. We also added a size to the mix.

STANDARD UN..INC. D.C.

  • TECH SHAPE: Directional Volume Twin
  • OUTLINE: MidBite
  • CORE: Poplar/Paulownia/Bamboo
  • INSERTS: Slambacks
  • GLASS: Triax
  • FLEX RATING: 7/10

MOUNTING TYPE

Contour - Directional Volume Twin: As the lines between freeride and freestyle continue to blur, we had to address the needs of those committed to riding only twins but who find themselves in powder snow more often. The volume in the tip and tail is hard to notice on firm ground unless you're putting pressure on the tip/tail, but in powder it affects flotation and you can feel it. This led to the simple idea of the Directional Volume Twin. Symmetrical flex, centered stance, identical wide points of the board (hence NOT tapered), identical blade lengths but with a tail slightly lower in volume. The MidBite brings the board contour inward 1.5mm just inside the insert package. This step remains (rather than protruding like the Basic) about 1/3 of the length of the side cut to just inside the next insert package. This single, long side cut interruption between the bindings tricks the width of the waistband into narrower, providing quicker edge-to-edge response. Meanwhile, from your bindings to the end of the side cut, we maintain a board width that is a stable platform for making jumps, turns and landings.

CORE - POPLAR/PAULOWNIA/BAMBOO: Creates a lighter, more responsive core than Full Poplar. The Poplar + Bamboo uses the same durable core, lightens it by replacing 30% of the poplar with paulownia, and inserts two bamboo slats lengthwise for added pop and response.

Base Profile: Camber

Base Materials - True Sintered: As the name suggests, pellets or coarse powder are pressed until they form a solid. There are several suppliers throughout our industry and each has different codes for them, depending on color and transparency. These codes may give the impression that you are getting many different types and qualities of sintering, but they are pretty much the same as far as you and I are concerned. True Sintered is harder and more expensive than extruded, and can be faster for those who drive aggressively. But to achieve this, it needs to be waxed and prepared for local conditions.
