History of Blind Skateboards

Almost Skateboards is a skateboarding company founded in 2003 by famous professional skaters Rodney Mullen and Daewon Song. After leaving their previous sponsors, Enjoi and Artafact, respectively, they decided to start their own skate company.

Almost has stood out for its innovation in skateboard construction. Instead of using typical wood, Almost uses internal layers of carbon fiber to improve the strength to weight ratio of its boards. This choice has been very successful and their boards are used by many professional skaters. In addition, Almost cares about the environment and has implemented a "Regrowth Sustainability Mission" in which it uses ecological resin, renewable raw materials and 100% bio-degradable bags.

Almost offers different models of boards, such as the Über Light, the Impact Support and the Double Impact, each with special features such as carbon fiber and Canadian maple wood. They also sell complete skates and skate clothing. After the death of one of its skaters, Lewis Marnell, Almost has launched collections dedicated to him, the profits of which go to his family.

Based in Los Angeles, Almost has earned the respect of many skaters thanks to its quality and commitment to the message "Have fun, skate everything." The company has collaborated with other brands such as Nike SB and has participated in projects with amateur skaters such as Youness Amrani. In 2012, they released the video "Willow's World" to commemorate skater Willow's professional status. Almost continues to be a leading brand in the world of skateboarding.
